American Drilling sends operational text notifications to its own employees who have opted in: daily field report reminders, confirmations that a submitted report was received, and equipment fault alerts that may include a link to the company's internal shop application.
Employees opt in after hiring is complete, in one of two voluntary ways: (1) by checking “YES” and signing a standalone paper form (blank copy) that is not part of any employment paperwork, or (2) verbally, after office staff read a word-for-word disclosure script aloud and the employee answers yes. Consent to receive text messages is never a condition of employment, hiring, pay, scheduling, any company benefit, or any purchase — declining changes nothing. Message frequency varies; typically 1–5 messages per day. Message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
